After using this sponge every day for a month I was getting a lot of breakouts, especially on my cheeks and on my chin. I do have a spot every now and then but it had never been that bad. I then discovered there was something wrong with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge..

It had MOLD all over it! I couldn’t believe that I had been using a sponge with mold on my face. I guess that’s what caused the breakouts. It’s pretty obvious which sponge I’m talking about; the disgusting looking one. It’s simply impossible to keep it as orange as a fresh new sponge even though I washed it 2/3 times a week. Also, I just kept it on my dressing table during the day & I never left it soaking wet. I wonder what could have caused the mold. I know that you should replace sponges more often than a brush but a month (with good care)?!

I just wanted to let you know that you should check regularly if there’s mold on your sponge. And I would like to know if you’ ve ever experienced this? Or do you know what might have caused this?

I did get myself some new sponges despite the mold. This love’s very strong, it can take a bit of mold 😉 I just hope these ones will stay with me a bit longer.
