Even though it’s still dark, cold and windy outside, spring has officially begun. I keep all my daily makeup in my MUJI storage (more on that over here). It’s easy having everything close to you rather than having to go through my entire makeup collection every morning. On top of my MUJI drawers I keep my favorite perfumes, my favorite bracelets and earrings and my eyelash curler. Next to the drawers I keep glasses with my brushes and my eyeshadow palettes. I’ll take you on a tour through my every day makeup spring 2016 edition!

I keep my makeup in the order I do my makeup. I always start with eyebrows and eyemakeup. In the first drawer I keep makeup for my eyebrows, eyeshadow primers, eyeliners, 2 of my favorite eyeshadows and my mascaras.

I like to fill in my brows with my Anastasia Brow Powder ‘Medium Brown’, to set them I use the Maybelline Brow Drama ‘Medium Brown’. I’ve used this combination for as long as I can remember. To prime my eyelids I use the Maybelline Color Tattoos ‘Creamy Beige’ and ‘Creme de Rose’, more on those in a post coming later this week!
Then to tightline I’ve got 2 options: MAC Fluidline ‘Blacktrack’ and my teeny tiny Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12H Wear ‘Black’. To create a thin eyeliner I like to use the Essence Superfine Eyeliner Pen Waterproof. It’s not the best eyeliner pen I’ve ever tried but it’s cheap and does the job.
I then keep 2 single eyeshadows which I LOVE a lot, they really deserved a place in this top drawer. I’m talking about the Urban Decy Single Eyeshadow ‘Free Love’ and H&M Single Eyeshadow ‘Sahara Dawn’. The latter may not really be a color for spring but I’m sure I can make it work combined with a gold eyeshadow for example.

My mascaras of choice are the Sephora Outrageous Curl mascara which my dad kindly brought back for me from Madrid (YASSSS!) and then the Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof and Chanel Le Volume, obviously.

In the second drawer I keep my base products, which don’t really change over spring/summer as I’m so pale I don’t even try tanning, I turn into a lobster anyway. I’ve mentioned these a hundred times before so I won’t go into detail: Seventeen Skin WOW! 3 Way Highlighter to highlight or to mix with my foundation. The Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser as a primer (I’ve gone through tubes and tubes of this stuff). Then ofcourse, the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, Catrice Camouflage Cream and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder to set it all.

I don’t tend to change my makeup a lot when the weather gets warmer. However, I do use my creamy products more often because it makes you look so dewy and healthy. I have yet to find a good creamy bronzer though so I’ll stick to my beloved NARS bronzer ‘Laguna’ for now. For cream blushes I have the Topshop Cream Blush ‘Head Over Heels’ and the Jordana Color Tint Blush Stick (unknown color, it’s a coral color). If I do want to use a powder blush then Milani ‘Luminoso’ is the way to go. Finally as a creamy highlighter, the KIKO Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter.

The last drawer keeps my favorite lipsticks. I don’t really wear lipsticks nowadays as I’m a teacher 4 days a week and I talk talk talk talk and pretty much talk talk talk all day and your lipstick will be gone in half an hour. My favorites are my MAC lipsticks and the Maybelline Color Drama pencils in the back.

As you can see I keep a mixture of high end and low budget makeup in there. I try to switch it up as much as possible but there’s certain things that I just stick to and don’t bother trying other things (foundation, concealer for example).

I look forward to spring so I can wear all the bright colors again! I hope you liked seeing what I keep in my MUJI drawers. Do you change up your makeup for spring?
