I rarely come across a disappointing product because I’m very critical as to what I buy. I mean, have you seen my makeup collection? I really don’t need anything else so I don’t buy many new products. Sometimes I do buy something new and it turns out to be a complete diaster, these ones I will share with you today.

As you may have noticed already, I am as white as a ghost. I am só pale, I glow in the dark. I took a closer look at the Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer because it looked unusually pale for a drugstore concealer. Revolution is super cheap so I thought I would try it, what if it turns out to be a miracle product? The concealer is indeed very light but it doesn’t give you any coverage whatsoever, it also feels very sticky on the skin.

My mother gave me the Rituals Miracle Balm White Lotus & Ginkgo Biloba hand balm and now I know why. This stuff smells lovely but it won’t sink into the skin. Your hands feel very ‘powdery’ afterwards, not very comfortable at all.

I’m a little bit scared to address this product as it’s been so hyped up on blogs and Youtube. I’m talking about the Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat. First of all, it smells extremely bad. Second of all, it doesn’t dry fast. At last, it makes my nailpolish chip in hours. This product is extremely overpriced and hyped up and I don’t see why.

Maybelle has been my favorite drugstore brand from the moment I started getting into makeup. Their mascara’s are really good, as well as their nailpolishes. I loved their Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara so I wanted to try another product from that range. The Maybelline Brow Satin Smoothing Duo-Brow Pencil & Filling Powder looked pretty interesting. One side has a pencil (similar to Anastasia’s, a bit bigger though) and the other side has this weird sponge and a little bit of product comes off. The pencil is not thin enough to work precisely, also it ‘wiggles’ so those things make it difficult to get a sharp line. I still don’t get the point of the sponge, it doesn’t do anything but mess up my brows. It had hoped this would be a replacement for my expensive Anastasia Brow Wiz but unfortunately it can’t compete.

I believe it was EssieButton who mentioned this L’oréal ‘Cameleon 601’ Single Eyeshadow in one of her videos. It sounded and looked pretty good so I had a loot at Boots and I bought it because it looked very intersting and unlike anything I already have in my collection. It’s hard to describe the color. I would say it’s a grey/purple with white and green gliters in, hence the name. However, when you blend it out, all you have left are the glitters. I have used it just a couple of times and I never reached for it again.

Did you come across a disappointing product recently?
