APRIL BEAUTY FAVORITES
Lasy day of April! It’s been such a busy and weird month as had lots of exams at the beginning of the month and on the 11th I moved to England. My apologies for the terrible picture, I did use my DSLR camera but the lighting in my room here is terrible and it doesn’t feel right to walk around my hostparents’ house to look for the perfect spot to take pictures, especially since they’re home a lot.
Anyway, my beauty favorites. The thing I’m most excited about is definitely the Seventeen WOW! 3 Way Highlighter. I initially wanted to get the NARS Illuminator but then I came across this very inexpensive Seventeen liquid highlighter at Boots. You can mix this with your foundation, use it under your foundation or use it on top of your foundation. I usually apply moisturizer, primer, Seventeen liquid highlighter, foundation, concealer and then my new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder ‘Ethereal Light’. As I have dry skin, powder makes my skin look very cakey. But at the same time I need powder because my t-zone (especially my skin) tends to get very oily during the day. I decided to treat myself to this beauty blogger favorite. The man helping me out at the Liberty cashier asked me for my name, number, Facebook.. SO unprofessional. Did not expect that to happen at Liberty, which is quite posh and classy in my opinion.
I hate to admit as I’m not the kind of girl to follow hypes but NARS ‘Laguna’ Bronzer is actually very, very beautiful. I finished my Soap & Glory Solar Powder and although I still really like The Body Shop Honey Bronzer, I just wanted to try something new (I’m still a beauty addict after all). The blush I’ve been reaching for a lot in April is an old love, Sleek ‘Rose Gold’ blush which I think is so much better than NARS ‘Orgasm’ (they’re supposed to be dupes).
My final favorite is the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry ‘Stop The Clock’. It’s suuuch a gorgeous yellow/nude color. Barry M ‘Lychee’ is nothing compared to this. I’ve got it on my nails as I’m typing this. I feel sooo stupid for not including the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet ’04 Peach Club’ in the photos because it’s been a huge favorite this month. Everytime I wore it, I got complimented!
What’s your beauty discovery of the month? I will do an updated base routine soon so you can see the liquid highlighter and the Laguna bronzer in action.
