AN ODE TO THE MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOOS
The Maybelline Color Tattoos have been on the market for YEARS. I even think this was one of the very first products I ever bought myself. Over the years they have added new colors and textures, but nobody seems to rave about these stunners anymore, which is a shame because they’re still amazing products. So I thought I’d be the one to do so, an ode to the Color Tattoos..
I have got quite a large selection of colors in my possession. It rarely happens that I buy multiple colors of a product, I’m not one for bright colors but if those are your thing, they are available. From left to right: Metallic Pomegranate, On and On Bronze, Eternal Gold, Creamy Beige and Crème de Rose.
I used to have this taupe color (can’t remember the exact name, I believe they have discontinued it) which I used to fill in my brows. It’s very difficult to find an ashy colored brow product at the drugstore so I thought I’d give it a go. You can create very sharp brows with this product and they will stay on all day, even after being sweaty after a work out or running to catch your train (happens to me a lot).
Another way of using the Color Tattoos is as a base for your eyeshadow. My favorites for doing that are Creamy Beige and Crème de Rose. They provide a perfect base for applying eyeshadow and they make it last a lot longer. Obviously you could just use them on their own, they’re beautiful enough to not apply any eyeshadow on top of them.
The Color Tattoos are very versitile and they last a very long time – hence the name -, I will be so sad the day they start to discontinue this range. Not because they’re great quality, but also because they remind me of being a teenager.
